The perfect end

The perfect way to end the day!

That's some chunky milk

A few days ago we gave Henry a bottle of milk to drink. Yesterday, Annie noticed it was missing. It wasn't in the cupboard, sink, dishwasher, or any of Henry's usual hiding spots. We both were somewhat concerned as this milk was no doubt getting pretty nasty by now and we didn't want Henry to find it and drink it.

Well, I found it buried in his toy box. I hope even more that he didn't drink any of it...when I dumped it out in the sink it was like dumping out tapioca pudding!

He hasn't gotten sick yet, so I think we're safe!!

MNF

Someone I ready for Monday night!!

48

Yesterday I washed all of the burp clothes and bibs Evelyn soiled over the past week. I knew she spit up a lot, but after getting them out of the dryer and stacked up in a pile before putting them away, I had quite the large stack. My curiosity got the best of me so I counted them...48...that is an average of almost 7 per day she spits up on! Wow! I am very happy I make my own laundry detergent that is super inexpensive. Also, I can't wait until she is over this spit up stage. My life will be a lot easier and I will be doing a lot less laundry!

Fluffy Pancakes

I found this recipe because I wanted to continue a tradition of Sunday night, breakfast for dinner.  When I was growing up, one of my fondest memories is of Sunday nights.  Our dinners would rotate between pancakes (plain, Swedish, and blueberry), french toast, waffles, and a collection of side dishes; all while watching America's Funniest Home Videos! It was the perfect way to end the weekend and get ready to start a new week.

These pancakes are delicious and very easy to make. They are very appropriately named "Fluffy Pancakes."

Hide and seek

Apart from tag, hide and seek might be the most classic game ever. Yesterday, Henry discovered the joys of it and we played it for about 30 minutes. He's already superb!

Some good family time

Henry only took about an hour nap today. I spent the hour cramming in as much work for Snap Fitness (greatest gyms ever) as I could. He woke up crying and screaming! Nothing I tried would comfort him or get him to relax. After about an hour of rocking him, holding him, getting him milk and juice; he finally was able to communicate to me what he wanted. He wanted Evelyn to lay on her floor mat and him and me to sit next to her on the floor with his juice and milk cup. Haven't heard a peep from him since. He just wanted some good family time!

This string is driving me crazy

At breakfast a couple days ago: Henry was very upset about something.  He kept grabbing and pulling Annie's hand. He desperately wanted to show her something. But, after Annie got up he just kind of stood there looking at her. Finally, after getting up a couple times with him, we realized what was making him so upset. On the sleeve of his sleeper there was a loose string sticking out about an inch or two. Annie cut the string and Henry ran off happy as ever to play with his toys!

I'm hoping this is a sign that he likes things to be nice and neat and that he will be an excellent cleaning helper for years to come!

Sshhhhh

A simple task like giving Evelyn a bottle is anything but with Henry. He does not like being left out of anything, so the entire time is spent preventing him from climbing all over Evelyn. For the most part he is trying to help. He likes to hold the bottle, wipe her mouth with the burp cloth, and throw the bottle into the sink when she's all done.

The other day, Evelyn had finished eating and I was just having her lay on my lap for a while (to prevent her from spitting up). Henry was attempting to climb onto Evelyn to kiss her feet. I told Henry, "no, you can't climb up on Evelyn."  He quickly put his pointer finger up to his lips and softly said, "sshhhhh."  I looked down to see that Evelyn had fallen sound asleep. Even at less than two years old he knows you never wake a sleeping baby!

First Fort

Someone built his first fort all by himself. If I'm honest, I'm a little excited to build forts with him and Evelyn...maybe a lot excited!

I see skydiving in our future

One of Henry's favorite things to do is climb on our ottoman and jump into my arms. Tonight he added an extra measure of danger to it. Before he jumped into my arms, he closed his eyes! I thought maybe it was a weird, one time thing, but he did it 4 jumps in a row after that! I foresee a skydiving or bungee jumping trip in our future!!

Selfies

Henry heard that 'selfie' is officially an English word now, so he decided to confiscate my phone and take a few...

Far too young

Henry has had a couple nights of rough sleep.  Mostly due to the fact that he is cutting his final four teeth at the same time...hallelujah! Can't wait until he has all his teeth fully grown in.  Last night, he woke up around 1/1:30 crying. After some comforting, drinks of water, and some numbing cream for his gums, he went to sleep with mommy and daddy after what seemed like about an hour. He woke up a number of times after that, rolled around, hit and kicked us in the face, and then finally went to sleep for good after probably a couple of hours.

After waking up around 7:30am, Annie told me that at one point in the middle of the night Henry and I looked adorable.  I was sleeping on my back with my left arm extended out and my right arm crossed over and resting on my chest. Henry was sleeping on his back with his head resting on my left arm; his left arm was extended out and his right arm was also resting on his chest.

Before Annie told me that story I was upset with how the night went. It was the second night of Henry sleeping like that so I was pretty tired. After she told me about our twin sleeping, I found myself thinking that, for the most part, Henry just wanted to be held and comforted by his parents. At one point, in the middle of the night, he woke up, said mommy and crawled over to hug and fall asleep on Annie. I also found myself thinking back to when I was younger and when all I would need to feel better was to be hugged and comforted by my parents. I also found myself thinking of what age I was when I was 'too old' to sleep with my mom and dad and 'too old' to be comforted by them. I couldn't remember what the age was, but thinking of holding Henry and having him want, more than anything else in the world, to be held and comforted by us, I am convinced I was far too young when I no longer needed it. I know Henry and Evelyn will be far too young when they no longer need us to hold them in the middle of the night for no other reason then they just want to be held. Tonight, I find myself almost wanting Henry to wake up just because he needs me to hold him.

She was just saving up

Evelyn has done pretty good lately with not spitting up. Today, we had a Thanksgiving party to go to and had to put her in her car seat and drive there right after she ate - this is normally a sure spit up situation. However, she cashed out after a few minutes and slept the whole time we were there!

The no spit up era was short lived, however.  I am now convince she was just saving it up.  Three separate spit ups in about 10-15 minutes and three outfit changes later, I am hoping lucky outfit number four will have a longer life. At least I had the foresight to change her out of her nice outfit from the Thanksgiving party before the cascade of spit up arrived.

All that spitting up must be hard work. She is in a deep sleep now...

And what was Henry doing during this time - He took his pants off and walked around saying llama llama and niña niña and repeatedly tried to climb onto the table.

Nope - She just spit up again. She's going without clothes for a while...I'm going to run out of laundry detergent at this rate...

Nursing

Henry has gotten into the pretend stage. He likes to "feed" his stuffed animals and give them drinks of water. When he does, he makes a lip smacking sounds. Today, Henry was trying to stuff one of his stuffed animals it under his shirt, which is a common thing for him to try. I turned my back to him, but then I heard him smacking his lips. I turned back towards him and saw he was nursing his blue stuffed bear!

A warmth that is almost indescribable

The feelings and emotions you get from simply holding your new born baby are amazing.  A person would not think just holding an 11 pound little human could fill you with so much joy, contentment, and warmth.  It is a warmth you can actually feel.  I'm not just talking about the warmth from the body heat of another person - it is a warmth that is almost indescribable...except when it is...this warmth was a volcano of spit up that cascaded over Evelyn's bib and burp cloth and ran down the front of both of us.  Looks like it's new clothes for her and daddy!

Full of memories already

Today has already been full of memories.  It started with Henry laying out his blanket and reading a book to conejito, his favorite stuffed animal.

A little bit later I walked around the corner and Henry was just walking around hugging conejito who he had put into a small tupperware container!  I missed Henry actually hugging him, but got a picture of conejito crammed into the container.

This morning has also been spent disciplining Henry for continuously sitting up on the brick in front of the fire place.  Not only is it hot when a fire is lit (which he doesn't understand yet and wants to touch the glass doors), but he has a tendency to lean up against the shovel, poker, and other tools and get dirty.  Eventually he will stop...I hope.

And, in case there was any question of whether or not Henry likes to control things.  While eating a mid-morning snack - Henry had broken pieces of pretzel on his tray. He wanted to feed me some which is very common.  However, this time, he wouldn't pick the pieces up and kept reaching up toward my head.  So, I bent down toward his tray and he reached up and pulled my head down to his tray so I could eat the pieces directly off his tray...oh boy...

For any parent out there, you know the possibility of going to the bathroom by yourself is very slim, especially when it comes to the potty training age.  While Henry and I were in the bathroom today (I was sitting down), he was standing next to me with his hand on my leg saying, "leg."  I said, "yeah, that's daddy's leg."  He then moved over in front of me and pointed down inside of the toilet and said, "pee pee."  I felt good that he is putting the whole potty training thing together, but couldn't help but feel a little uncomfortable...

Extra bonus from a couple days ago - Evelyn is smiling a ton more and her dimple is really starting to show!  I sense a lot of scaring off young men in the future.  I better start hitting the weights and putting on the pounds so I have a more intimidating stature!!

Dipper

Henry loves to dip his food.  He doesn't care what he is dipping, or what he is dipping it into - he will eat it, and, not just eat a bite to taste then realize it's disgusting and stop.  He will eat his whole meal like that.  For lunch today, his dipping choice was pita bread in a mixer of vanilla and chocolate soy milk.  For dinner, we made black bean, red bean, medium salsa, cheddar cheese nacho dip.  Instead of dipping the chips, Henry went with pieces of the orange I cut up.  My curiosity got the best of me with the oranges and nacho dip, so I gave it a try...not as bad as I thought it would be, however, it will not become a staple meal in our house!

Conejito

Conejito (Spanish for little bunny). Henry has become obsessed with a stuffed conejito he has. He has to sleep with it and bring it with us when we leave. Today, we were leaving for the dining hall but he wouldn't walk out the door and kept whining. Finally, he ran into the other room an grabbed it. It even has become his cruising buddy. He stuffs conejito in the top of his walker and runs around the house!

Putting the dishes away

A routine has started in our house.  When Henry hears the dishwasher open he runs over.  After I finish putting away the bottom rack, I move to the top and Henry climbs into the dishwasher and helps put everything away. Heres to hoping he has this strong desire to help do chores for a long time!

Much more eventful

Last week was the first week Annie returned to work after her maternity leave.  It was rather uneventful; which I was incredibly thankful to God for since I had a surprise birthday party on Friday for Annie to plan.  The week and the party went off without a hitch!  This week has already proved to be much more eventful!  Here is how Monday went.

Henry and I had oatmeal for breakfast.  When he eats it by himself it usually turns into him eating a few bites with his spoon and then it becomes finger food, which ends with him getting frustrated becasue his hands are dirty and he wont eat after that. I had gone all last week feeding him the oatmeal and thought today I would see if he had improved on his eating skills with a spoon...he did not.

After cleaning Henry off, Evelyn woke up, so I changed her diaper and started to get a bottle ready to feed her. Before I could finish, I noticed a strong smell coming from Henry. He had quite the unpleasant poop. I have never really been affected (or is it effected) by his poops, but this one actually made my eyes water. Plus, he kept wanting to reach down and grab it so it was a lot of fun changing that diaper.

After changing Henry's diaper I broke a glass jar getting Evelyn's bottle ready. Evelyn usually eats about 3 ounces of milk so that is what I made. She chugged it and wanted more so I made another ounce which she drank and still wanted more, so I made another ounce. In the middle of drinking the fifth ounce Henry reached into the trash and grabbed the glass pieces from the jar I broke earlier. Horrified by the fact that he still likes to put things in his mouth, I screamed, "Henry no! Put it down!" He did not. He just stood there frozen with a partial smile on his face. I jumped up, put Evelyn in her chair and grabbed the pieces from him. He tried to run away, but I scooped him up to inspect his hands and feet for tiny pieces of glass. Thankfully there was none! To be safe, I put Henry in the pack-n-play and vacuumed the floor. With all the excitement going on with Henry I hadn't looked at Evelyn since I put her down. Now looking, I see she spit up due to the josseling of me jumping up and putting her down. It was on to outfit number two for Evelyn.

A delicious lunch in the dining hall, which consisted of Henry climbing into the bottom of the stroller and getting stuck, was followed by feeding Evelyn at home. Our after lunch entertainment was Henry pulling his pants off and running laps around the house screaming, "go go go go go!"

The rest of the evening, after Henry woke up from his nap, was pretty normal; apart from Henry farting and saying, "what was that?" Annie had a late work meeting so it was dinner with just the three of us. Evelyn had a scrumptious bottle of milk. Henry and I had the classic peanut butter and jelly...and my tea from breakfast that I forgot about and found in the microwave.

Henry stuck in the bottom of the stroller.

A Future in Coaching

This is one of the reasons I love having a good camera phone. Evelyn is starting to smile and make other faces. When she does she usually goes through multiple faces, emotions, and expressions; so, I grab my phone and take rapid fire pictures. The other day I captured this beauty and instantly saw a Jon Gruden look-a-like. What do you think? She might have a future in coaching!

A Little OCD

We are realizing more and more that Henry has a little OCD in him.  Three specific examples:

The other day our ottoman snagged our rug.  There was a small piece of fabric sticking up (about the size of half a dime).  Annie was holding Henry, but he noticed the snag and pointed at it.  Annie brushed it off and walked in the other room with him.  He wouldn't stop pointing and whining so she put him down and he ran over and pointed at the snag.  Annie went and got a pair of scissors and cut it off - Henry was content after that.

Henry loves shutting doors. At first, we thought it was just because he likes shutting them, but it is starting to look like he really doesn't like doors to be open. When we are upstairs, before we can come downstairs, he has to shut the fours doors that are up there first - and yes, he has to shut them - if I try to help he says no and tries to knock my hand away.

A week or so ago he was in his highchair; he was hungry, but just wouldn't eat and kept fussing and saying "down."  Finally, Annie set him down and he ran over the baby gate, which was open, and shut it.  After that, he ran back over to his highchair and ate.  The baby gate is not visible from his highchair, he just new it was open and couldn't eat until it was shut.

Yeah, definitely a little OCD.

A day full of memories

What a day today - it was full of memories.  We started by taking a family trip to the grocery store.  Any parent out there knows a trip to the grocery store can quickly become a nightmare and, for that reason, will do almost anything to entertain their kid.  Henry's entertainment of choice was eating little cheddar duck crackers out of his shoe.

One thing commonly used to keep Henry occupied at the grocery store is giving him pouches of fruit and veggies mixes that he can eat.  They have screw on tops, so when he's done eating he plays with them and screws the top on and off.  We ran out of pouches during a car ride, so we had to buy two in the store for him.  Toward the end of the grocery store trip he had eaten one pouch and (I thought) screwed the top back on.  I grabbed the pouch from him and, in an attempt to entertain him, shook it.  Well, he did not screw the top all they way back on, and I ended up spraying the remainder of his pouch all over myself.  And when I say all over myself, I mean all over - it was in a straight line from my feet to the top of my head.

While Henry was napping, Annie and I were putting clothes away in our room.  Evelyn was on the bed and I leaned over and started talking and smiling at her.  She immediately started to smile and coo! It was the first time she consistently responded to me interacting with her!!

Henry is getting more mobile, and with that, comes more booboos.  It didn't take long for him to realize that when he hurt something we would kiss it.  He was running around our front room and there were some legos on the ground.  He stepped on one of them, fell, and started to cry and rub his foot.  I came over and kissed his foot - he immediately smiled and stood back up.  Standing there, he looked down, reached his foot out, gently touched it on a lego, then got a sad look on his face and lifted his foot up towards me.  I bent down and kissed his foot, so he repeated this with his other foot.  This went on about three more times.  And then again about an hour later.

The night ended with Henry reading Evelyn and Annie one of his favorite books, Miss Rumphius (but not before we put a pillow on his lap - he randomly can no longer read books without having a pillow on his lap) and him running laps in the back room.  He ran about 20 of these laps!

A great day!

Klackle Orchards

As this is Annie's last week of maternity leave we have tried to do as much as possible. It was somewhat sunny and in the forties so we decided to get outside and go to Klackle Orchards (http://www.klackleorchards.com). Henry had a blast. I highly recommend it. They have farm animals, a little town, bikes, a huge sandbox, tons of random farm equipment to climb on, a corn maze, tractor rides, some of the best apple cider and donuts I've had (yes, I did eat a donut) and a bunch more. It definitely has that small, country, ma and pa feel to it. Everyone is laid back and really nice. We will absolutely be making another trip back.

Totally worth it

I woke up with Henry a little after 7:00 this morning. We ate breakfast, and I wanted to clean up some things and get some chores done before Annie and Evelyn woke up; however, it was chilly this morning so I decided to start a fire - also, thought Annie would appreciate waking up to a crackling fire.  Henry loves making fires with me.  After I got it started and got some big logs on it Henry said, "wow" and sat down to watch the fire.  I sat down next to him and he proceeded to rest his head on me and we watched the fire together.  Yup, totally worth not getting some chores done this morning!

One experiment after another

Evelyn is a spitter upper. I think I have already washed more bibs and burp clothes in her first month than I did in the first year with Henry. We have tried almost everything we can think of to try and prevent it: waiting hours after she nurses before we move her, holding her in certain positions, Annie has changed her diet around, we propped up her crib mattress. Nothing seems to keep it from coming back up! Tonight, after waiting 2 hours after she nursed, we put her down in her crib and...spit up. So, thanks to my sister and brother-in-law, we have a baby rocker thing that props her up at around a 20/30 degree angle. She slept for a while in it earlier today without any spit up. Here's hoping this experiment works! Which, after all, is what the majority of parenting is, one experiment after another.

Swiping cards

Because Annie works at a college we get to eat in the dining hall. When you walk into the dining hall a worker swipes your ID card to let you in. Henry has always been fascinated by this, and has progressively gotten more and more involved with this process and with his favorite worker, Chris. First, Henry would point to Chris as soon as we got to the dining hall. Then, he would grab our ID cards, hand them to Chris, she would swipe them, he'd grab them and give them back to us. A few days ago, after we were in the dining hall and finished eating, Henry walked over to Chris and asked her "up please?"  So, she put Henry up in her chair, which was the highlight of his day. Today, Henry almost took over Chris' job. While we were still getting our food, Henry walked over to Chris, so she put him up on her lap. Students continued to come in, so Chris continued to swipe their IDs and, sure enough, Henry grabbed every ID card from Chris and handed it back to the student. He had everyone cracking up!

Quinoa and egg sandwich

This is one of my absolute favorite things to eat!  It has everything you want in a lunch. It's super quick and easy to make, doesn't have a lot of cleanup, and it is delicious!!

I toast a Qrunch quinoa burger and two pieces of multigrain bread, slice some white cheddar cheese (which Henry gets a few slices of - how do you say no to a toddler with outstretched arms repeatedly saying "cheese please"), fry an egg, and add some mustard! Yum yum!! One of the best things I've ever tasted - and all organic non gmo - can't beat it!

You don't need to add anything else to it. However, I have topped it with some sliced tomato, green pepper, mushrooms, and salsa before. That makes a little bit of a messy sandwich, but it's just sooooo goooood!

ESPN

Henry loves books. Every night to get ready for bed we have a pretty strict routine: bath sometime between 7:30-8:00, brush our teeth, get a chupete (pacifier) and manta (blanket), read some books, grab a drink of water, and in bed between 8:30-9:00. Well, Henry's choice of book to read tonight with Annie is pictured below...I'm so proud!

I was not expecting that

By now you grow accustomed to having surprises while changing diapers - thrashing feet and hands in poop (not mine own for anyone wondering), various colors and consistencies, the surprise bowl movement while the diaper is off. I recently had one surprise that I really did not see coming: it was a lazy day - it was around lunch time and Henry was still in his sleeper. I brought him upstairs to change his diaper. I take his sleeper off and drape it over his chair, but while I am moving it, I hear the loud thud of something falling out of his sleeper and hitting the floor. My immediate thought was, that sounded wooden - how hard is that poop?! Thankfully that was not the case. At some point during the day, Henry had unzipped his sleeper, stuffed a wooden train caboose puzzle piece in his sleeper, and zipped his sleeper back up. Of all the things to expect while changing a diaper, that was not one of them.

Sapo

A park full of slides, swings, and all the climbing things you could want, dirt, leaves, and sticks. What does Henry want to do? Sit on the picnic table, drink from the water bottle, and creep on some women working out in the pavilion. Sapo!

He thinks he's the vacuum

Henry loves to help. It doesn't matter what it is, he wants to be right in the middle of it. One of the things he likes to help with the most is vacuuming. He can be anywhere in the house, but if he hears me say "vacuum" he runs to the closet and tries to turn the handle to open the closet door. After that, every step of the way he tries to help: plugging the vacuum in, turning it on, pushing it, grabbing and putting the extensions on the hose (which must immediately be followed by vacuuming his hair), taking the dust cup off and dumping it in the trash, putting the dust cup back on, turning the vacuum on and off and on and off and on and off and on, unplugging the vacuum, wrapping the cord back up, opening the closet, and putting the vacuum back in - this last step seems to cause some confusion though. After opening the closet, he would quickly run in. The first few times I stopped him because there are a lot a breakables in the closet, but then I noticed his hands were down at his sides so I thought I would wait the next time and see what happens. Sure enough, he thinks he's the vacuum - he walked in slowly and just stood where the vacuum used to be. He didn't move a muscle, just stood there. If my curiosity gets the best of me, maybe I will shut the door after he goes in next time...just to see what happens.

My leg is stuck

Reason why my son is crying: He thought it would be fun to stick his leg in between the baby gate posts. It was not.

Maybe it will be fun the second time? Nope, it's even worse the second time.

DIY Baby Gate Cover

This DIY project was born out of pure necessity. Every time I would leave Henry behind the baby gate he would squeeze his leg between the bars. At first it was fine, he could pull his leg back and forth and have fun with it. However, as he grew the squeeze became tighter and tighter. Eventually, his leg got too big to pull back out of the gate, and he got stuck.

So, after a day or so of brainstorming, I figured an ordinary, white shower curtain would work pretty well to wrap around the baby gate. It matched the color of the gate, and would be durable enough to withstand the pulling and biting that I'm sure Henry would bring down upon it. All it took was folding the curtain in thirds, duct taping one edge to the outside pole, wrapping the curtain around the gate, and duct taping the curtain edge down. In the end, the curtain cost $2.00 and I had the duct tape already, of course. Might not look the best, but it's better than having to grease down an irate baby to try and force his leg out from between baby gate bars, or having to cut him out!

It's too quiet

While getting dinner ready in the kitchen, Henry was in the other room playing (out of my line of sight). Suddenly, that gut feeling hit me - it's too quiet in that other room! Sure enough, Henry got a hold of a box of Kleenex and pulled them all out of the box. As soon as he saw that I saw him he started to blow his nose on as many Kleenex as he could, as if to say, I was using them all, not just playing with them!

I'm sure you were Henry...

Today's highlights

Had pandora playing and Henry kept wanting to step on my feet and have me "dance" around, especially when Whitney Houston's "I wanna dance with somebody" came on.

Several times throughout the day Henry desperately wanted me to sit down so he could back up, sit on my lap or on the floor in front of me and play with whatever toy he had in his hands.

We went to the store and Henry figured out how to say "I know", which he said the entire walk through the parking lot. Still don't know what it was that he knew.

After getting home from the store, Henry couldn't walk inside before he said "goodbye" to an earwig crawling on the ground.

Henry had diarrhea twice. The second time was around 7:00pm. He also developed a bad diaper rash which was really bothering him, so he and I took about a 30 minute bath which consisted mostly of Henry spraying the shower head up into the air and laughing or spraying himself in the face or the shower wall.

Evelyn slept a lot, spit up a couple times, and is making eye contact and moving her head from side to side.

Ended the day by holding Evelyn while Annie read Curious George and Go Dog Go to Henry. She put him to bed around 8:30 and is now cleaning up dinner. We will probably follow within an hour. It's a great Friday!

An early end

What does it mean when you are up north at a restaurant with a toddler that is super fussy and wont sit still because they had a bad night sleep, and all day has been showing signs of having another bad night?  You get a vacation that ends a day early with mommy and daddy struggling to stay awake on a 2+ hour drive home late at night.  I think everyone enjoyed sleeping in their own bed last night!

You aren't a parent of a toddler until you have some outing/vacation end early due to screaming and crying...

Something for the kid and dad to love

Henry and Evelyn didn't get the memo that we are up north and suppose to be on a mini vacation. After midnight, Evelyn woke up about every 1.5 hours to nurse. Henry wouldn't go back to sleep in the pack and play so a midnight fort/bed was constructed for daddy and him. Lack of sleep is never fun, but fort building and snuggling with Henry is always a blast! Something for the kid and dad in me to love!

His calling to the track

While out at a middle school football game this evening: fans are either up in the stands or leaning up against the fence watching. Henry, however, is about fifteen meters back from the fence standing on the long jump runway looking longingly at the sand pit. He already feels his calling to the track!

You can't snuggle without me

After driving up to Frankfort, Evelyn and I were trying to take a quick nap.

Henry would not allow that. He can't stand Evelyn snuggling with mommy or daddy without muscling his way in.

And eventually taking her chupete (pacifier) and replacing it with his finger.
